While she is dwarfed by the members of her clan, there is no question of whom the matriarch of this lair is. Maryam is the founder of this family.

High up in the trees which surround the lair, her amber roosts catch the light, decorating the area in a surprisingly delicate way. She first appears to be a misfit, with so few other Fae in the clan, but somehow she manages to command respect from the others. Her brand of caring may be strict - not a single thing is out of place, there shall be no tolerance for misbehavior - but there remains no doubt that she loves every dragon who finds their way into her lair, regardless of lineage and flight.

She is there to welcome every traveler who wanders to her part of the Gladeveins, for every nest hatching, and is first in line to defend the lair should a threat ever approach. Newcomers have a difficulty understanding at first, when she snaps at them to not play with their food and clean up after themselves, but when they grow accustomed to the unique way Fae express themselves, they learn how generously she cares for her clan. Many do not intend to stay, but are made to feel at home by Maryam and her fellow leaders of the Stitchery Clan, and their extended stay turns into a permanent settling.
