She / They
Ru is an itty bitty fairy (think Thumbelina sized). Often heard but rarely seen, she can only be spotted beneath the canopy between dawn and dusk, just as passing showers settle into a quiet tranquility. Where light sifts soft over dew and deep green is where you'll find her, flitting over cool shadows and gentle swaths of filtered daylight.
Quick to vanish, she may be enticed to stay with a good story, but only if she isn't addressed directly ( something like: 'Boy I sure am beat! Suppose I'll just rest here a while. Gosh, what a lovely tree, reminds me of x time when...oh goodness what am I even doing? Here I laid down to rest and ended up spilling a whole story to a tree haha silly old me.' )
As she listens to the story her magic swells in accordance with the teller's emotional connection to their tale. Upon the tale's completion she can then grant a wish proportional to that magic, if the humbleness and sincerity of one's intentions please her.
