Alrekr is the clanfather and a former Nature flight dragon who came with his mate and his budding clan to the Scarred Wasteland, following a calling he could not himself explain. Away from the verdant greenswards of his birth, away from the Gladekeeper, and into the blighted lands of plague. There was some unrest among the clan when their leaders chose to move them here, but they would follow them faithfully anywhere, and so here the clan lives.


He often finds himself missing his Nature home of before, the smell of fresh wildflowers or rain on green grass, but he made the exodus to the Scarred Wasteland for a reason, a reason his divided heart has yet to reveal to him. There is a duality to his nature- on the one claw, he is a Nature Dragon at heart, but on the other... something bubbles and roils within him and feels most at home in the wastelands of plague territory. XU1kt2M.png It appeared one day, just outside the entrance to the lair. As he, Kougaiji, and Vallos were leaving to do their daily battling, Alrekr spotted it. The vibrant green of the egg's shoots wavered gently in the stale breeze of the shattered wastes, and the Guardian's eyes widened. He quickly moved to the egg and took it up protectively, amazed the plaguelands' very atmosphere hadn't snuffed out the growing life inside. He took it into his lair and hid it carefully in a makeshift nest in his own den, hoping it may one day hatch. Soon after, an allied clan sent another egg with a pair of mirror dragons who came bearing greetings and well wishes. He guarded both protectively, as a father would. One of the eggs hatched into a brilliantly colored fae-turned-coatl male, that bonded with Alrekr instantly. The tiny fae perched on his armored shoulder when he came home from his daily battles, but eventually, the time came for him to move on to a new home. While Alrekr was sorry to see him go, he and Aslaug made it clear Cein would always have a home among the Pyrrhians. Much time had passed since the young Pyrrhian clan had made their exodus from the verdant wilds of the Viridian Labyrinth to the battered, dangerous Scarred Wastelands. They had seen many dragons come and go from their clan, and lost many of their nearest and dearest to the diseases and dangers that ran rampant in this hostile territory. They remained steadfast, however, and grew, enduring in spite of all opposition, be it by the Beastclan warriors and raiding parties, or the very land beneath their feet that seemed bent on their destruction. Like a rose growing from the rotting trunk of a tree, they thrived among the decay and death surrounding them. But Alrekr could not forever escape the influence of this pestilent land... It happened after they moved to the rim of the Wyrmwound. They needed a larger lair, and had earned favor with Plaguebringer, having sent many of their own to serve under Her. Alrekr took gravely ill, and it seemed that he would surely perish, but instead... XU1kt2M.png
