Soot

Soot takes more after his mother than his father. He's a spiral in all but appearance: highly energetic, always out doing things and talking non-stop.

As a hatchling, this gave him trouble fitting in with the other mirrors, among whom his older brother Lapwing and his zesty cousin Bracken. While Lapwing looked out for him, the older mirror was often occupied with his own business and didn't want a ball of hyperactivity around for that. On the other hand there was Bracken, who's constant pouncing and tackling proved too much for Soot as he lacks his kind's typical lust for fighting.
Because of this Soot was often seen running errands or seeing to some 'important' duty, which the older dragons of the clan made up to keep him busy.

Now that he's grown up he longs to see more of the world and find a clan which is a better fit for him. He's bid his farewells to Lapwing, who's preparing to go on a journey of his own, and even let Bracken tackle him for the last time, before setting off for the shores of the Southern Icefield.
