Definition: This German word, means an ache to get away and travel to a distant place, a feeling even stronger than wanderlust.
If wanderlust was not poetic enough for you, allow me to present fernweh, a German word that literally translates to “distance-sickness.”
While someone with wanderlust might sit at home and happily fantasise about all the places they might visit, someone with fernweh would feel a deeper sense of longing, a sort of homesickness but for foreign lands.
The Third member of the exploration team. He's eager and over prepared, often scouting ahead. He's packed for just about every situation. He carries a trident in the event that he needs to use it to fight off enemies. With a strong desire to travel, to keep moving he's difficult to keep up with at times. If it weren't for his need to sleep he'd never stop moving. A deep hunger for adventure and exploration sits within him, pushing him forward.
He also goes by the name Fern, only the other two members of the team can call him 'WehWeh'
