Named in memory of the Greek primordial goddess of the daytime and personification of day, Hemera embodies the beauty and radiance of the sun shining down from the heavens. Her body glistens and sparkles, light bouncing off her and making her appear as if a dancing flame. It has been said that, like the sun itself, Hemera is a very comforting presence. Hatchlings delight in her radiance and warmth, and those who are sick or find themselves feeling down need only sit in her presence to feel the clouds and gloom lift, brightening their mood.

While she does not posses any supernatural powers, Hemera takes great pride in all things that sparkle and shine. She adores jewelry, and works with her mate, Helios, to create a wide array of beautiful trinkets and accessories using her own shed scales so that other dragons may feel just as bright and glistening. Her loyal companion, Lux is always floating about beside her and adding the final touch to the jewelry to make sure all the pieces shine just as beautifully as the crafter herself.
