Biography
Last night I had a really weird dream, now for everyone's information that's a normal thing for me but what wasn't normal was that it was about his Many-Leggedness. 0.o Any who the main point of the dream was that I was watching a human employee work tirelessly on the Bossman's data entry computers. His main terminal was in this huge glass tower that was shaped like a cylinder and looked out over the entire shifting expanse. I watched him work several times during the night shift and every time he would look up out of this huge glass window in front of the terminal and sigh then get back to work. Later in the dream I started to pick up on how he was created, since you know, it's kind of weird for a human to be in the Flight Rising universe. I think that he was one of the Bossman's genetic experiments, as he was often called 'experiment' instead of employee most of the time when the Bossman's voice would come over the intercom system to give orders to the human.
And so, with a heavy heart I present the story inspired by my dream. The story of life, longing and the science behind the human heart in a dragon world...
The thunder outside the laboratory walls boomed with renewed vigor as the Stormcatcher finally laughed in triumph. It had worked, after countless attempts, years of dedication and toil, it had finally worked. Lightweaver may have her Imperials that she boasts as the 'first' dragons in creation but now, oh now the tables had turned.
The Stormcatcher peered into the fogged glass of the test tube at the being he created, the future of Lightning. He clacked his mantid arms in excitement as his fingers from his second pair of limbs flicked switches into the off position. Slowly the water drained from the tube and the life support gave way. The body inside started convulsing as its lungs starved for air that the tube inside its minuscule mouth ceased providing. The tube detached gently from the insides of the body's esophagus and eventually retracted back into the top of the tube.
The Stormcatcher watched eagerly as the newly freed mouth made gaping motions akin to a caught fish before expelling tube fluid from the innermost reaches of its lungs. The expelled fluid joined the rest of the receding liquid that was draining away into the collection vats below and the body sank down to rest on the bottom of the tube as it emptied. The lungs were working now and as the Storm catcher dutifully made notes on the beings' progress the eyes slowly cracked open.
By the time the Stormcatcher looked up, dark chocolate orbs were already focused on his every move.
He made a rumbling noise deep in his throat and the thunder outside responded in a roar, "Welcome to the world young one," His bright cyan eyes burned into the dark eyes of his creation, "Welcome, to my world."
