'Burn the Darkness'
Name-Giver: Vahlokdozii
Paladin
A born scrapper but not a very skilled fighter, Agvokun often found herself in confrontations she had no hope of winning - not that such terrible odds ever deterred her. After a particularly nasty scuffle, Agvokun’s attackers left her for dead in the cold of the night. Too weak to drag herself to safety, Agvokun pled with the gods and anyone else who would listen to spare her life. She begged all night long, determined to not die in such a way, until the light of dawn finally began to filter over the horizon. Exhausted from the night, Agvokun closed her eyes, confident the radiant sunrise would be the last thing she saw in her mortal life. When, to her surprise, Agvokun opened her eyes, she found herself in a warmly lit and bustling tavern. Standing over her was Vahlokdozii, and in her deliriously relieved state Agvokun believed him to be a god who had spared her life. The misunderstanding was quickly sorted out, but to this day Agvokun is blindly devoted to her savior and is the only one who doesn’t roll their eyes when he tells a terrible dad joke. He gave Agvokun a new name and a new purpose in defense of the Clan, and as far as she is concerned he can do no wrong. Determined to become a better fighter and serve as Vahlokdozii’s bodyguard, Agvokun began to train with Krahdinok and Kulaas. Greatly preferring Krahdinok’s blunt, aggressive style, Agvokun spent countless late nights and early mornings with her eagerly studying battle strategies. In time, the two became very close, and Agvokun is the only dragon besides Krahdinok’s partners that she trusts with her deepest emotions and fears. When she isn't training with Krahdinok, Agvokun spends her time learning about historical battles with Zahkrii. He does his best to teach her to be more charismatic and subtle on the battlefield to gain the upper hand, but she prefers her aggressive style. She acknowledges, of course, that her skills with being empathetic to citizen's problems ("As is the duty of a paladin!") could use some work, and Zahkrii is all too happy to provide counsel. Agvokun tries to devote her time to her usual paladin duties, but ends up spending a lot of time guarding the gaping void in the center of the Tavern - "Please stop throwing things in there, we don't know yet if it's connected to Lok somehow! Dez get back here!" Between training and studying, Agvokun still finds time to have tea with her daughter Zadanik and son Zaan - watching them snipe about each other's lifestyle is a never-ending source of amusement. Even if they can be a handful, Agvokun would not trade such challenges for anything. Oonid - "Oh no" |
