Biography

Torch's avatar
Torch here is one of the only ambassadors that is not a nature flight nor represents the flight in which he is ambassador. Although he was born in the shadow domain, Torch has never really considered himself a shadow dragon. Instead, Torch was interested in the Fire Flight and learning about what his species called their original home. When he got the chance, Torch left his shadow clan and began to explore the fire domain, even sharing gifts with other coatls who ventured their as part of their instinctive drive to the home. While Torch was at the FlameCaller's Forge, he found beautiful silver ore when he began exploring the underground caverns. He picked up the silver ore and started to scavenge as much as he could to give as gifts to the other coatls or just if he got himself in any trouble that he would prefer to gift to get out of. As he followed the silver ore trail, he ran into a Nature coatl, seen with her shimmering green eyes. She had her hands on some citrine that she was collecting for gifts as well. The two both chuckled as they both were in the middle of collecting their gifts to give one to the other. The female coatl asked Torch as Torch at the same moment asked if they could fine tune the gift before they went exchanging. Both agreed and said they would meet by the Blacksand Annex.

Amongst there brief encounter, Torch learned that the Coatl whom he talked to was very strong and a protector of her clan. Though she didn't outright say it, he could tell that with her strong muscles, that she might want some armor to protect them while looking flashy. So he began a forge and blacksmithed the silver ore into something beautiful. Finally finished several hours later, he rushed over to the obsidian sanded coastline and waited for the coatl he had made his creation for. It was about a half hour with no sign of the Coatl and Torch was feeling creastfallen that she might not come.

Suddenly, her silouette could be seen as she stepped out from the black mists that swirled on the coastline where lava hit the open water. She smiled and walked toward him carrying a gift of her own. She apologized for taking so long and they both took a seat by the lava pools. Torch opened his gift first, he was amazed! Before him was sanguine plumage, perfect for a fire dragon looking to carry the smoke of fire with him anywhere. She beamed when she tried it on saying she thought he would like it as she could sense his spirit of fire in his soul. Torch even noticed the little citrine tail ring she had make up the bow of the gift and thought the jewel of fire was perfect to go along with the flames. When she opened hers, Torch was nervous, her face had become blank as she stared at it. Then she let out a enthusiastic set of chirps as she held the silver filigree breastplate with a matching helmet Torch was relived and was glad his first time gifting for a specific dragon had gone so well.

She wanted to try on the armor to see if his instincts were just as great as his craftmanship. At first, she was hesitant to take off her own hat and shawl to try on the items. Torch asked her what was wrong and she replied quietly that she didn't want him to freak out. As she took off her archer's hat and shawl, Torch saw that she had the colors that some would mistake as fading plumage. But Torch only could see her understanding of how she must have felt awkward and instead only saw her as the most beautiful coatl he had ever seen. He almost tuned out the world as the mist swirled around her and blurring his eyes to only see the perfection shimmering through the heated black smokestacks. She was surprised at his reaction saying that most coatls usually ran away before she got the chance to explain her natural colors were these. Torch didn't care about the stereotype and only commented how beautiful she looked with the lava lights glowing off her silver coat. For the first time, the female coatl had felt a little zing in her heart and let her warrior heart melt into one of a peaceful dryad. She saw Torch in that instant, as more than just a typically beautiful facet coatl, and saw his true colors within and was in love with what she saw. On the outside the two would have never wanted to be together but that night neither one left each other's side and by the morning Torch couldn't spend a moment without her for he saw in her, the fire in which he had searched to find when he came, where else to find a beauty than in a name associated with an edible flower, Quinoa.

She wore the armor that morning as she was sadden that her boss needed her back as soon as possible. Torch had a thought, he asked if he could come with her, whether or not he could join her clan. She wasn't surprised for she had been thinking about it the whole night they spent together surrounded by the orange glow of the warm pools that surrounded their little camp. She knew how much Torch loved fire so Quinoa asked if he would be the clan's fire ambassador. Torch was amazed and thrilled saying yes as he couldn't imagine anything more perfect. As the two took the similar path through the Tangled Woods to the Viridian Labyrinth, Torch found that his new home was going to be amazing especially since he'd share it with Quinoa.

Torch is the fire ambassador for Solar Cell ever since Lavender was thrilled to accept him. Torch, unlike Quinoa, is a man of peace with his job though both consider themselves upholders of peace so maybe not so different in their occupations. Torch maybe bigger than Quinoa but Quinoa is twice as strong with all her Forest Ranger practice. As for Torch, he still likes to avoid conflict as much as he can which only few coatls in Solar Cell actual also follow. Usually they are all competitive with having the best jobs usually in the Forest Rangers. However, this only means that Torch and Quinoa's other have much in common other than the fact they are both shadow originated dragons. Torch heads to the Fire Flight often as an ambassador but always remembers to bring Quinoa, his mate, some spicy peppers. She loves having contests with her brothers and sons (that's right Torch and her had Serrano and Apricot[and distant Cordon who lives in the Arcane flight]) over who can eat the most peppers before having to tap out because of the extreme heat. Recently, her younger sister, Vignette, has attempted to try to steal her title as well as her older sister, Papaya, but no luck. Guess it pays to visit the Fire flight, well Apricot is catching up being the Fire flight traveler but he ends up traveling in the Earth flight so his training is lacking a bit.

Torch and Quinoa have their own familiars that help them in there tasks. Torch is the proud owner of a Phoenix who never runs out of that rebirthing smoke. Torch finds the fire bird loves fire as much as him and accepts its help on wrapping gifts for fellow fire flight dragons he might come across and even accepts help when he needs help getting away from enemies. Torch isn't much of a fighter but when Fire dragons pick a fight with him, he flaunts his shadow powers and takes them down with shadow bolts. Water dragons and shadow dragons on his path tend not to fight Torch since they are pleased with getting gifts especially when they are shells or chest board pieces. Rudolph sometime hangs out with Torch since he is a fire dragon and loves gifting, usually joked that he should try being a coatl and not an imperial. Torch likes helping him pick out gifts and make gifts with Rudolph letting him be an important help to Torch by having pre-wrapped gifts ready to go. Guess Rudolph is still like an elf year round, just one that likes lava rather than a winter wonderland in the Southern pole.
