Mate: Mellophone

Stonehenge hates drab colors and has always been bitter about her palor. An aggressive and spiteful female she traveled the Ashfall Wastes in search of a mate of bright colors. But its not like she wanted to have hatchlings with him, no she hates hatchlings, can't stand them.
While flying over a particular drab and unexciting area of the Emberglow Hearth she spotted her future mate, a bluish Mirror called Mellophone, trying to fight a much larger male Ridgeback. Mellophone was the most pathetic thing she'd seen in quite some time, probably not even 60 KGs.
Its not like she helped him out of the goodness of her heart or anything, Stonehenge just couldn't bear the thought of someone so weak starting a clan. Because that's what he said he wanted to do. Start a clan. Ridiculous. She figured if she helped him out then maybe she'd get to run it.
After she chased away that dull Ridgeback he became enamored with her and begged to be her mate.
Stonehenge accepted because he was colorful enough, not because she felt anything for him. He was pathetic. What a loser.
And after so much time spent together, even after the addition of new members, Stonehenge doesn't like Mellophone one bit. Not even a little. And she's definitely not really protective of him or anything. That would be silly.
