Biography

Hallow- The Founder of the Azeryx Clan- The Haunted Founder

Theme Song

Mate: October, Formerly Cala, Formerly Flow

Quirk: Consistently has autumn leaves following him, even in other seasons.

The founder of the clan. Stoic, calm, and quiet, but not unkind, Hallow is a dragon who knows how to look out for his other members. Elements of his past are a mystery, but there are many rumors in the Clan about him being far more strong and powerful than one would expect. He is a Coatl, but used to be a Tundra. Hallow has a dark side to himself, a side that is vicious and colder than the cold of the Icefield, but he only lets this out in the middle of his battles. He tends to get reckless and becomes harmful to friend and foe alike in this state. Hallow has many children, but almost none of them are fond of him, leading him to wonder if he is cursed. He believes that he is cursed. Of all of his children, the only one who has stayed with the clan is Reaper. As such, Hallow is very overprotective of his single son.

Hallow was a Tundra who lost his parents at a young age. His family had been loving, but they died in a horrible blizzard that had caused an avalanche to crush them. By some miracle, he had lived. He had no siblings and was left to wander the Icefield alone. He slowly grew up, but it wasn't easy. He constantly battled against the elements, day and night, and spent his free time lamenting his poor fortune. Hallow continued to live a solitary lifestyle until he one day came across an old Imperial. The Imperial's name was Aka, and he was an old dragon living alone in the warmer sections of the Icefield. The two stayed together for a week, discussing their own plights- Hallow living his life alone, while Aka had no one left to take care of him. Clans had turned them away- what use was an extra Tundra or a battered Imperial? Hallow told Aka that he wished there was a Clan that would take care of them- that would take care of anyone. This idea was the basis for the Clan.

Still, Hallow and Aka were in a bad situation. Food was scarce and neither of them were particularly good at hunting. Hallow was attempting to track food when he bumped into a young Fae named Flow. Flow had fled her Clan after they had tried to send her to work for the Icewarden. Flow begged the two to help her hide, and in exchange, she offered to find them food. What started as a deal soon became the first three founders of the Clan, moving through the Icefield as a group. As they traveled, they tossed around ideas for a name. Azeryx was chosen, as a combination of the names of Hallow and Flow's parents. The dragons traveled the lands, deciding to try and find dragons to join. They found two dark Ridgebacks from the Tangled Wood named Shredder and Eve. They picked up young hatchlings named Magnus and Diamond. And one by one, the group grew. Hallow led the Clan and built a place of peace and home- something he never had, but something he could give.

They moved along into Hallow's family's old lair and expanded on it. The lair had dens, caverns, and even a prison that hosted two prisoners, though Hallow was told to never release Void when he was a hatchling. Hallow invited more members to join and the clan steadily grew. New dragons popped up. Cass. Conda. Lumiyo. But as more dragons arrived, Hallow knew that their needs would grow. Shredder, who was Hallow's battle commander, suggested raiding other Clans and taking their territories, but Hallow, who understood the pain of loss, refused. Life continued, and Hallow had children, though most left for the Icewarden.

Hallow was stunned when Eve confessed that Shredder was planning to overthrow the Clan, especially with the help of one of Hallow's daughters. Shredder almost decided to release Void, but Hallow stopped him. In a short battle, the loyal Azeryx Clan members fought against Shredder's gang of traitors. Hallow fought Shredder himself, but something strange happened and made Hallow lose control- there was some taint of Void's power that had seeped through the dungeon door. Corrupted, Hallow began to attack with his hidden strength, easily defeating Shredder but destroying Flow's mind in the process as she attempted to calm him down. Hallow won the battle. The traitors were exiled, but Flow's mind would not return.

Hallow knew Shredder would return and continued to wait, gradually growing uneasy as he watched Zeryx, Shredder's son and Aka's predicted heir to leadership, grow, and as he let more dragons in. He was waiting for his old rival. It wouldn't be forever.

On a dark night, while Hallow was going on a walk with Eve and Aka, a Snapper in a rage jumped on them from the shadows. While Aka was caught off guard and moved away, Hallow and Eve engaged the angry Snapper in a battle. Though Hallow and Eve managed to fight him off, Hallow was mortally wounded from the blow. Aka and Glimmer came to the conclusion that the only way they could save the Tundra was move him to a new body. Taking a scroll of magic, Hallow was transformed into a Coatl- at a cost. He should have died, but when he was changed, he entered a state of half death. He now bears an even grimmer, more skeletal appearance- there are rumors that he is no longer a dragon, simply a monster. Hallow's powers have only gotten greater in this form, but he's lost a lot of life as a result. There are questions if he is immortal or undead, but Aka claims that Hallow is still growing old...albeit very slowly.

During the Bringer War, it was Hallow who led the charge, with his plan to fight Shredder and his forces to the best of his might. However, Eve had requested that it be her to put an end to Shredder, which had led Hallow to instead chase after the true mastermind of Project: Bringer- the scheming Fae, Rotte, who had been planning to not only resurrect the Emperor, but to control it to destroy everyone in his path on his quest for ultimate knowledge. Once the Emperor had been resurrected, it was Hallow who engaged the insane Fae in combat while everyone held back Bringer. Hallow fought extremely hard and won the battle, knocking out Rotte while everyone destroyed Bringer. It was Hallow, Flow, and Zeryx who finally ended Bringer, freezing him in a block of ice.

He found Flow after the battle, and despite her restored mind, the pain they both caused one another has made them decide to stay separate. Hallow also agreed to take in some of Shredder's rogues into his Clan, although some are serving time in the prison for their actions. He is keeping a careful eye on his new recruits, but their loyalty has made him proud.

Hallow gets along best with Aka, Lumiyo, and Eve. October is his loving mate, although Cala and Eve both show interest in him. He loves Flow as a friend. His rival was Shredder.

"His grim appearance hides a caring heart." -Aka

"He has a heart, but he reeks of death." -Rotte, commenting on Hallow.

"No matter how many times I must die, I will protect my family." -Hallow
