origins.

Once upon a time there was a prince who lived at the top of the highest mountain of Versailles kingdom. The young prince had siblings, but none of them could match his incredible beauty. Everyday, people from far away would come to the king and queen and tell them : ''Your son is the fairest in all of the land!'' ''What a beauty, like never seen before'' ''You must be very proud'' The parents were very proud, indeed. What a gorgeous baby they had.

But then, one day, an evil force came to the lair. He was a massive guardian, fire burning under his skin like flames from hell. He was terrifying, but the king and queen wouldn't bow to him. The dragon was named Dante, and he was extremly jealous of the other eyes who stared at the prince's beauty. ''My, my...'' He said, in a charming but snake-like tone ''What a pretty child you have there... His beauty must make your fortune... Wouldn't it be terrible if something bad happened to it?'' Without more words, he lift his big, dangerous paw and took the baby in his hand. The parents were panicking. But Dante didn't put down the prince. He lift up his other paw and ripped off the skin of the child's face, before throwing him to the ground.

At least, that's the story Lucifer heard behind his scars. He doesn't really recall any of the events, but his father told him many, many time that it was the truth. The other members of the clan don't seem to contradict him. After all, isn't Dante a disgusting mad dog?

As a teenager, Lucifer would stay by Dante's side, trying to understand why he did that to him. He was always a bit scared of him, but he enjoyed his presence. Dante, during that time, would often shame him for his ugly face. Nowadays, however, he regrets such words and tries to boost his young partner's self-esteem more. Now, Lucifer only allows Dante to see his scars. It seems like only this rude, impossible guardian can accept his true face. Everyone else looks away in horror. Soon enough, he fell in love with him, and Dante seems to have too. He acts protective towards him, like he never did with anyone.

Sometimes, Lucifer wonders if that story was really true. When he asks Dante, he only growls and changes the subject. However, the guardian seems more and more angry when people comment about the incident in front of them. Lucifer knows his man. He's a pure light dragon. He doesn't like lies.
