From a young age, Juliet had wanted to lead her own clan. In the clan she was born into, however, the right to rule was inherited, and she was not in the running. When the old leader was sick, she tried to take over, but was soon over powered by the leader's children. She fled to avoid punishment for her treason.

She stopped running when she reached the Cloudscrape Crags, where she spent the next few years of her life. As she recovered, thoughts of revenge started to drive her. She trained, and trained, until one day, she met Blaze.

Blaze is a Mirror Dragon who was exiled from his clan. By no means ethical, he ran into Juliet, when stealing from her food stores. When she found him, she attacked, she would not be humiliated in this way. The end of the fight found her claws on his neck, but she spared his life, and in return he would help her get her revenge. From that point on, the two trained in the barren mountains, that they started calling home.

They went back to her old clan, ready for battle, but found that her old lair was already destroyed. Without a target for her anger, she lashed out at Blaze, before leaving and beginning to wander. Blaze found her a year later, and attacked her. This fight ended with his claws on her neck. He spared her life on the condition that she would lead a clan with him. She agreed, and they came back to their home land to find a suitable place for a lair.
