 the unrelenting that tempers the compassionate

born to a traditional guardian clan, she set off at the proper age and wandered for a time indeterminate in search of her ward. strong-willed and silent, she helped several unfortunates as she travelled until she became an unfortunate herself. that was when she met girtab, who fished her back to safety with some smooth words and flashy smiles.

she found exactly who she needed to devote herself to; after a few years of wandering together the inevitable happened: they fell in love. soon after she convinced girtab to return and start his own clan, convinced his heart and mind were made for it. only, he was far too trusting. she would be there to make sure no one took advantage of that.

Alarai can be summed up in one word: serious. She takes her job seriously, Girtab's responsibilities seriously, and the members of the clan seriously. The only ones ever known to get her to smile are the leader himself and her eldest daughter, Kaisenna. The one thing she doesn't take seriously is the title of High General, given to her by Girtab. She prefered to be called Captain, until she had to give the title to someone else. Now she goes by General (sadly) and glares at anyone who adds the "High" to the title.
