Born as an abandoned egg in the Windswept Plateau, Cord explored the area until he came across a guardian by the name of Tanis. She too, hatched from an abandoned egg and the two became close friends. They traveled the plateau together and had one day decided to tackle the challenge of the Twisting Crescendo. Their attempt had resulted in failure, and they had woken up in the Zephyr Steppes. Whether by magic or luck, they survived and to this day they have not known how. Ever since then however, the light of his steampunk bauble would flicker every now and then. He noticed it would only happen if something wanted to capture his attention. Something was speaking to him, has been watching over him, and he was rather intrigued by it.

Even though the attempt to be mates with Tanis was a bust, they are still very good friends. Currently he does not have a mate.

He and Tanis came to a consensus to allow Damario to lead the clan. They figured he was a much more suited clan leader than they were, considering their lack of responsibility over large amounts of other dragons. Damario seemed more dedicated, and they were more than glad to hand the title over to him. In turn, Cord became the scientist of the clan. He comes up with all sorts of inventions to help the clan prosper.

Cord is very attached to his familiar, Zeno. He’s usually seen riding him for easier transport.

Recently, a new dragon has been introduced to the clan. As a hatchling, Finley seemed to have stuck around Cord's tree den and now that he's an adult, he had shown signs of mimicry with Cord. Even though mockery is a form of flattery, Cord doesn't feel very comfortable with Finley around his lab.
