Biography

When she laid eyes on the towering bamboos and the glistening view of the sea and sky, she knew this was the place. The place where she would reside and protect for the rest of her Guardian life.

Most would laugh at her soft warnings, unsuspecting what the smaller Guardian of the clan can do. After all, it's Tasuku (the only other Guardian dragon) who's the clan's star fighter in the coliseum. But Yuki doesn't take offence, instead she revels in the advantage she has when dragons underestimate her. It gives her a form of triumph when they scatter under her strength and power, after estimating that she wouldn't be able to take a large number of enemies. Despite that, she always resorts to violence last, hoping that smooth talk can help her out at the very least.

The hatchlings like to jump about her; it matters not if they came from her nest or another dragon's. Sometimes, on calmer and less busy days, she would pretend to sleep under the sun and let the young ones climb over her, wrestling each other to the ground in mock battle. Only when things get a little too rough will she get up and put them to a stop, scolding them with her gentle voice. (Afterwards she would present the hatchlings with food she gathered on a short trip, quoting her words, 'to let them grow and make us all proud.')

Yuki doesn't take interest in much of everything else other than taking care of her clan and protecting their lair. However, in her spare time (when not helping in the care of the younger dragons), she would climb to the highest peak of their lair and rest; simply to gaze longingly at the point where the sky touches the sea for hours on end. Sometimes when the sun begins to paint the world orange, pink and red, a dragon must be sent up there to retrieve her for dinner, for she would have forgotten herself in the stars.

Perhaps, if she was not a Guardian... would she reach where her eyes could see... and beyond?
