______about.When Rigil first arrived in the clan, she came in peace. The blue dragoness was searching for a place to call home. At a young age she had been cast out from anywhere she could find solace…she was desperate for a place to lay her head in safety. They accepted her with open arms. As a young nomadic clan, they were looking to bolster their ranks. They could find no fault in the young imperial, and they trusted her accordingly. The clan leaders practically took her in as their own, raising her through her adolescent years. What happened wasn’t their fault. Rigil was very good at putting on a façade. On the outside, she was a bubbly young dragoness. Kind, loving, and quite thoughtful. Little did anyone know that inside, beneath her carefully molded outer shell, she had a heart that was hardened and cold. She was scheming and ruthless. Having grown up without a place to call her own, cast out by those that she considered family and friends, Rigil wasn’t going to live in anyone else’s shadow. Every remark that came from someone who thought themselves above her, condescending or commanding, dug deeper into the scar inside her. She didn’t handle the clan’s hierarchy well. She bided her time, waiting for the opportune moment to make her move. She grew, she trained, and she learned—growing into one of the strongest and bravest dragons in the clan. Her rank in the clan grew with her. As she continued to wait, the clan’s numbers increased. More dragons, wandering souls like her, found their way to the clan. Rigil began to make connections. She sought out those who had a dark place in their heart, and she struck deals of power in return for future favors. One such deal changed her form into one she found even more powerful—she became an ancient Gaoler. Her new form made her feel more confident, and more adept to the task she had before her. It was also during this time that she met a dragon that would change her life. One day, while going about a chore, a blind imperial dragoness tripped into Rigil and turned her world around. As soon as the iridescent blue imperial fell into her sights, a single soft spot began to form in her hardened heart. As Rigil fell in love with the beautiful Slylio and her prescient powers, she became more certain that the only way they could have the life they wanted—the only way that she could protect her love—was if they were the ones in charge of it. One fateful autumn evening, as the moon inched above the darkened horizon behind the Sunbeam Ruins, Rigil led a select team of mercenaries and turncoats into the heart of the clan’s camp. Slipping into the den of the clan leaders, she snuck to their nests. Without a single thought, she slit their throats where they lay. As their blood seeped into the earth, her team helped her lay claim upon not only the clan’s current campground, but also large swaths of land surrounding it. Over the following months, Rigil led the clan in a new direction, while her mate did the same to her. Slylio seemed to have a knack for finding dangerous hatchlings to take under her wings, but in an odd way this seemed to help Rigil. She too cared for the vicious little dragons as her own children, developing a strong protective nature towards her developing family. This protective nature spread into Rigil’s disposition towards the clan. She became almost violent in her protection of her newly acquired lands—marking the borders with the blood of prey in order to ward off any outsiders, and ruthlessly cutting down any disturbances from within. She valiantly guarded that soft spot in her heart. ______notes. Donec vehicula est nunc, vitae feugiat tortor vehicula at. Non tristique ex tincidunt. Aliquam vulputate vitae orci sit amet euismod.
