Akelli glared at the Tundra scrambling over to his pile of scholarly junk. She'd never met another dragon so... infuriating before. Oh, sure, he was smart - his claims to live in the Observatory seemed to be true - but he was just-- scatterbrained! And not in the same way the Tundras she'd met in the Icefield had been, oh no. At least they could turn vicious if the need called for it. Izotz (she was sure that's what he'd called himself) had all the fighting prowess of a dwarf hainu. A wet dwarf hainu.

"Got it!" Izotz held up a inkwell with such enthusiasm that he spilled half of its' contents all over his fur and even into his mouth, causing him to splutter and choke - though it hardly did anything to dampen his spirits.

There was just something about this idiot that Akelli couldn't resist, and she hated every second of it.

If you asked anyone living at the Prismatic Ridge to describe Izotz in one word, that word would most certainly be 'Dad'. Filled to the brim with enthusiasm for geology, magic, and puns, Izotz takes a much more active role in the day-to-day activities at the Ridge. As head scholar, he personally meets and greets every student, collates every scrap of research, and spends a great deal of his time being generally nosy about everybody's business.

Don't mistake his friendly demeanor for idiocy, however - Izotz was hatched in the inner sanctum of the Arcanist's Observatory, and perhaps due to this is blessed with a knack for learning, an insatiable curiosity, and perhaps a higher intelligence than one would expect for a Tundra. Also thanks to his unnatural location of birth, something in his senses got switched, leaving him with a fantastic visual memory, but, unfortunately, none of the impressive sense of smell that most Tundra dragons are known for.

Izotz prefers to take an optimist's view of life, and treats everyone he meets with the expectation that he could make a potential friend. Even after the Ridge suffered its terrible calamity, Izotz was steadfast in the belief that they could rebuild, regrow, and rebirth their home. Against all the odds, he turned out to be right.
