Lyle's appearance into the clan was very sudden. From a distance, he watched Myriam's small pack disperse after a successful hunt. He found himself drawn to a familiar scent, but as he approached its source he realized its owner had left, leaving him with a fading trail and an awkward situation. But the acquaintance of a friend might as well be a friend, so he took the opportunity to forge a new bond. His initial travels with her were slow, but he quickly learned to keep up. Fighting isn't something he enjoys, but he picked up defensive magic because he knows how important hunting is to Myriam. He assists by storing breath and expending it on regenerative spells for her.

A real softie at heart, Lyle greatly enjoys the company of his companion. Though his memory is short-lived, he has managed to hold onto a couple tidbits about her preferences in food and hunting patterns. Once he even wove her a crown of red roses, which he himself took to the Gladekeeper's domain for an enchantment to grant it eternal strength and beauty. After all, a lady as fine as she must have a crown to match her personality! What he forgot to tell her (and then forgot entirely) is that the roses' spell affects her as well, giving her incredible healing powers and perhaps even immortality.
