BIOGRAPHY
The first time he saw them, Xolo was an avid follower. In his own clan, he was a fish out of water: thick with plague blood, but a lover of all living things and, especially, life itself. Always playing with various animals, always being the interpreter between various Beastclans and his own, and always collecting live plants and raising them, Xolo was seen as strange young dragon. His talents were largely disregarded due to their "taboo" for a Plague-born dragon. Let the Nature dragons cultivate and gather crops; let the Light dragons study the languages of the Beastclans.
He never truly gave up his passions, of course, but he did start to hide them. He did his best to be a good Plague dragon. He trained day in and day out to be the strongest, making competition his only focus. He trained with the cutlass as well, and it became his favorite weapon. When he was but 12 moons old, he was something to be awed at; he took part in sparring competitions as the champion of his clan, earning them weighty sums each time he won. Xolo took little interest in the Followers initially. He did care for travelers that only came to scam his clan, though it happened only far and in between. One night, he snuck out to threaten them into leaving. However, they used the chance meeting to indoctrinate him. (Really, they'd had their eye on the "strange plant hatchling" of the clan since the beginning.) Xolo is very content traveling with his new family. |
