ASK is the first; the progenitor; the father. Unusually for a tundra, he travelled from his birth clan at a fairly young age -- what he was searching for, however, he did not quite know. It was not until returning to the Tangled Wood and finding Embla, a Guardian whose scent somehow smelled like home, that he found his home for the second time.

Though his first journey was unusual, he is very tundra-like, and it is those very qualities that enable the successful partnership with Embla. His quiet patience and wry sense of humor offset Embla's steamroller of a personality, and it is to him that she turns when she needs support -- rarely, and only in private. He is a peaceful creature, shy of battle and happy to raise his many children, none of whose names he can remember, but all of whom he loves with the contentedness of his quiet heart. It is he who constructed the first parts of the Yggdrasil lair, and it is he who truly makes it home. Embla the head; Ask the heart.
