Noreaster

Lore TLDR: An orphan spiral born without a trace of magic. He learned to fly authentically, with his wings, and mastered both flight and aerial combat. He became an adventurer to accrue wealth and fame, and got both in spades as word of his deeds and unusual method spread across the Windswept Plateau. However, before his next big victory could push his fame beyond his home flight, he was attacked by a resentful admirer, who he had recently rejected the advances of. The attacker shredded his wings, leaving him completely helpless on the Starwind Bay's shores.

However, he'd heard of two clans that would take anyone into their shelter, that scouted the Starwood Strand routinely to find the helpless and desperate. He staggered in, praying they'd find him before monsters or Beastclans. Unfortunately, a pack of longnecks did find him first, but he managed to shakily explain his plight and his search, and the longneck agreed to take him to the clan he sought, who they revealed had an alliance with the beastclans.

He was rehabilitated carefully by the ace medics of the Misfit Miskatonic, and ultimately regained full flight, though his wings are still lined with scars. Now a loyal Comet of the Lunar Guard, he often helps his lifemate Beval in raising hatchlings, entertaining them with stories of his great deeds and teaching the fledglings the secrets of flight.
