Huayra

Named for the Andean god of wind, Huayra is a battle mage. Unlike his mate, Hellbender, Huayra is absolutely brimming with magic and heavily relies on it in combat. Their differences hardly end there. Huayra is everything that Hellbender isn't; polite, polished, posh, and pedigreed. He is a prince descended from the oldest royal family to ever live and rule the Icefield, making his way in the world to prove his worthiness of the throne. As he comes from possibly the wealthiest family imaginable in his birthplace, his upbringing has been very comfortable, but he has never let that negatively impact how he treats lower dragons. He has always been considerate of their needs and frequently tries to make sure that social programs are in place to take care of those less fortunate than him.

Huayra met Hellbender on a trip to market when he heard someone heckling passersby. Intending to put a stop to it, Huayra came forward only to be bowled over by Hell's cutting remarks. However, there was something in him that he couldn't help but find interesting. It might have been the general attractiveness of the fiery stranger, or perhaps the realization that the other male didn't mean any of his harsh words, he was merely being a jerk to get a response from others. Well, he certainly got his wish here.

When he admitted to Hellbender his royal lineage, Hellbender merely rolled his eyes and said, "Figures the first dragon I ever fall in love with would have to be a pompous prat. I knew we weren't no good for each other. Guess I'll be seein' ya around, loser." Huayra couldn't help but laughing at this, knowing that Hellbender was shaken by the news but refusing to show it. He was actually quite delighted at Hell's refusal to acknowledge his status, finding it refreshing from the usual groveling and bowing.
