Stone Emperor Clan Guard
The Stone Emperor
Three warriors, brothers by bond, fought valiantly in a war for a clan lost by time.
One perished in battle and the others sustained terrible wounds. Unable to be healed on the battle field, due to the Healer having been killed, they started on the treacherous journey back home, their fallen brother on their backs. They fell on the way back and the others, unable to lift them, left them over the winter.
When their clan mates came back to gather their fallen a rotting and twisted Emperor waited in the thawing forest. The warriors subdued it but they were forbidden to mercy kill it by the wife of one of the Imperials. The grieving widow begged the clan to try to save them and the healers and mages managed to turn the Emperor dragon into a living statue.
The widow looked over the statue as it guarded the entrance to the clan. For one hundred decades she cared for the stone beast until time claimed her spirit and the ground took her body.
Eventually the magic keeping the statue alive faded and the Living Stone Emperor turned to solid stone.
To this day the statue still stands at the main entrance to the lost clan's lair.
The clan who moved into the abandoned Lair built a stone model of Natalie, the dedicated wife of Rainer
