Bolo

A young dragon lifted his brilliant, cloud studded wings. He grinned a toothy grin, and his pointed nose scrunched slightly in response. He strapped his trusty satchel to his hip, and clipped his aviator helmet around his head. His spines fluttered in the breeze.
“What a perfect day for flight.” His voice was like the wind; gentle.
He flapped his wings out, as if to take off. One of them was severely ripped, however, preventing him from taking air. Bolo was not worried about his disability.
He rushed forward, blue talons scraping at pavement. With a leap, he landed inside of a small, red triplane.
Bolo patted the plane’s sturdy frame, “The Fokker Triplane. Best of its time!”
The cloud-winged pilot started the plane’s old engine, and his loyal companion roared to life.
“Ready buddy?”
Together, the dragon and his metal wings took off into the air. Bolo’s coloration perfectly reflected the sky.
