Biography

Intact Stone Relief Tattered Parchment Battered Book of Fables

{ Technically he always wears a hewn philosopher's veil to cover his eyes but I wanna show them off so that's why they're uncovered, also these stories need editing so please forgive any awkward grammar }

Sarveyn came to a recently formed Clan Artifex bloodied and bandaged trailing slowly behind Luuta. Many concerned questions were asked, some to him, some to Luuta. He was silent while she assured the clan members that he was both not dying and not a threat. Others did not speak and instead tried to peek under the dirty cowl over Sarveyn's head to no avail.

For weeks hardly any dragon saw him. Luuta spoke of him only when inquired and Zirus and Mishreen were the only dragons who dared to visit him. They trusted Luuta's brief introduction and their questions were few to the relative stranger; He had been found in the Abiding Boneyard, he did not know how he got there or how long he had been there for, his wounds were from dragons, he would rather not remove the cowl from his face.

Eventually, he began to venture out of his secluded cavern. At first to partake in meals with Luuta and the rest of the clan, then to visit the archives by himself to return and retrieve more texts, and soon enough to clear out a rocky ledge in the main area of the lair to study. Though dragons had become used to his presence, they were still somewhat reluctant to talk to him. If Luuta was out of the lair on an expedition, the most conversation he would have is exchanging pleasantries with Mayahuel while she did her gardening and he patiently waited outside the lair for Luuta to return. He didn't mind, he was not one for conversation in the first place. The cowl remained, he found it shielded his face from the sun.

Mayahuel would occasionally try to coax more of a conversation out of Sarveyn, which he was happy to oblige, and the two formed something of a friendship. Like a mother she would fuss and comment that if he was going to the effort of keeping his tool satchel and armour so clean that he should do the same for his cowl, and at least ask her to mend and clean it if he couldn't do it himself. He paused at the comment, but ultimately politely declined. Mayahuel accepted the answer, however that did not stop her from keeping his well-being in mind, and the next time Brightshine Jubilee came around she had prepared a present for him. The tattered cowl became a veil.

She did not have time to assess much of her surroundings before hitting two Mirrors with a swipe strong enough to knock them off the heavily injured Imperial. They yelped as they went crashing to the ground; if the impact wasn't enough, the light magic seeping into their wounds was a clear sign to give up before the new attacker finished them off.

She refocused onto the Imperial and noted that five Mirrors still remained, clinging and ripping into various limbs. Another swipe, this time directed at the Mirror clinging to the Imperial's neck, missed as the dragon quickly let go and crouched. They were so close to finally finishing off the beast, they had lost so many warriors to it, and now this new Imperial that had appeared out of nowhere was going to ruin everything. In a fit of rage they roared and lunged at the new Imperial, but they were injured and exhausted from their hunt. She easily intercepted their attempt and hit them squarely in the face knocking them out cold.

The Mirror formerly holding down one of the injured Imperial's hind legs watched in horror as their clan leader's limp body was flung to the ground, panic clear in their voice as they yelled their name. Though the injured Imperial had hardly any strength left to call upon, his adrenaline was still going strong and he kicked his newly freed hind leg with all his might. Though it didn't quite connect, it still caught the shocked Mirror's front leg and sent them tumbling to the side.

The cry from their second in command got the remaining three Mirror's attention as they became aware of both their clan leader now lying unconscious on the parched ground and the futility of their struggle with the new Imperial. Bitterly they backed away from the injured Imperial, doing their best to collect their leader while their three injured clanmates limped off with them.

The injured Imperial slumped to the ground. Before his neck gave out he laid his head down, taking ragged breaths while watching the seven Mirrors shuffle off into the wasteland. Turning her attention back to the injured imperial, the new Imperial hastily dug into her medicine satchel and pulled out the strongest potion she had. She reached down to cradle the injured Imperial's head and paused. She had only now managed to get a good look at his face and was stunned to find vacant, intensely glowing eyes staring back at her along with the faint traces of forebodingly familiar runic symbols softly shining on his face. Black spots danced in her eyes when she managed to draw her attention back to tilting the vial into the Imperial's mouth.

The injured Imperial sputtered a little, but did his best to drink the liquid; even if this stranger was feeding him poison the blood loss would kill him before it had any effect. He watched the Imperial toss the vial to the side as she laid his head back down,
"Good, keep your eyes open, keep breathing, and don't try to move. I'm going to tend to your wounds now." He managed an amused huff; what made her think he was in any kind of position to move? Nevertheless he did his best to relax while she began fumbling through her satchel again for bandages.

Truth be told, she was shocked the potion was working as well as it was. She thought that for sure with injuries like he had, the best she would be able to offer the Imperial was a painless death. Well, that was before she began suspecting that he wasn't entirely alive to begin with. The blood covering his body was dull and thick [ and I am going to stop writing for today cause it is very late ]
