Celeste

Born a deaf wildclaw in Lightning Flight, her lack of hearing proved to quickly be a disadvantage in a setting of such hard work. She couldn’t hear the clunks and bangs of the machinery that indicated something was right or something was wrong. Still further, her lack of hearing made communicating with other dragons more difficult. In a place where the ability to work quickly and effectively was so important, the wildclaw just didn't fit in. She was pushed to the outskirts of the Lightning lands where she led a bit of a lonely existence for some time. She wanted to be accepted by the dragons of her home flight, but eventually she realized that this just wasn't possible. Celeste left her home flight at a very young age to seek out a place where she had more of a purpose. This led her to a clan of easy going Wind dragons which quickly took her in. At first things were difficult for her as speech wasn’t easy for her, but the very nature of patient and understanding Wind dragons meant Celeste quickly fit in and found a purpose.

Celeste doesn’t talk much but she isn’t exactly shy. She communicates mostly through gestures and facial expressions, but is quite effective at getting across a meaning now and has even successfully made herself a few friends. Celeste is a very loyal and trustworthy companion, the sort of dragon that will bend over backwards to make someone happy. Celeste knows how to be a good friend and understands the true meaning of friendship. Any dragon close to her will tell you how wonderful and giving she is to everyone around her.

Celeste’s lack of hearing has made her other senses much more refined. Celeste has an extremely sensitive nose and is capable of picking up on even the faintest traces of prey she may be tracking. Her sight is highly defined, allowing her to see wiggling in the bamboo that other dragons may not have picked up. Furthermore, Celeste has an excellent sense of touch, allowing her to feel the vibrations in the earth of an approaching dragon or burrowing mouse. Because of her sharpened senses Celeste makes for a skilled hunter and she loves to bring home fresh game to feed her hungry clan.

Surprisingly, Celeste is also a valuable fighter and loves to spar. Anyone that has sparred with her will tell you to not under estimate her. Her wildclaw ancestry and lethal killing claws are a force to be reckoned with. If her clan was ever in danger, Celeste would be the first and last dragon standing in order to defend it.
