When he was a very small hatchling, his lair was attacked and destroyed by an unknown force. He managed to escape and find shelter in a tree, his dark coloring helping him stay hidden. As he grew up, he would stay in that same tree during the day, lounging around until night. At night, he would fold his wings to make it look like he was just a patch of flowers. He would dip a little bit of his fluff in the water so that some fish would swim up to him, then he would attack. He used this method to hunt for a long time until a dragon from my den discovered him at his home. He warily accepted the dragons offer to come and join him at his den. He eventually started to trust a few dragons from the den.
