A dragon gifted with the ability to predict the future. Her visions are never clear and come suddenly, much to her displeasure. The nature of her power torments her, to the point where she considers it a curse, rather than a blessing: her visions mostly consist of bad events, and there is nothing worse than realizing how little she can do to stop them.
She started to travel to look for an explanation -- or even a dragon with a similar ability -- only to find herself in the Shadowbinder's realm. Here, a surprise awaited for her: another Pearlcatcher, Angel, who was attempting to develop opposite gift. The fellow dragoness, able to foreseen good luck, immediately welcomed her into the clan.
Amaya found herself growing closer to Angel, and their friendship eventually turned into love. She found her cheerfulness reassuring, and to this day, she firmly believes no dragon has ever loved her as much. They share a nest, sleeping side by side every night. Being more comfortable in the clan, Amaya now writes poems that help her cope with her fears; her lover is her main muse. When a vision is especially disturbing, Angel is always there to console her, wrapping her wings around her and whispering softly.
After being forced to flee with Angel, Amaya found and adopted an egg, from which Pumpkin was born. The small Snapper brought even more joy in her life. She refers to her as her "little star."
