Her magical alignment is uncommonly strong -- too strong, perhaps. The air around her is thick with it: a heady mix of honeysuckle and ozone that makes the more sensitive types draw back with eyes watering and lungs burning. She sweats it, breathes it. When her emotions run high and her breathing comes faster, the air from her mouth grows ruddy and the skin of her lips flakes and peels away like ash shedding from burnt wood, only to grow back later once she's returned to some equilibrium.

Iron rusts if she holds on to it for too long; fruits turn sagging, soft, rotten against her palm. Once, she found a fledgling bird toppled too soon from its nest. She brought it back, and it lived the whole of its life in a handful of minutes before turning to dust and blowing away in her hands. She could control it, if she wanted to, but only if she wanted to.
