Midnight Nightwing
while he generally comes off as a grumpy old man, Midnight genuinely cares about those in his clan, especially his adopted daughter Sylvali his mate Obsidian. it should also be noted that he cares for all his blood-children as well, even though most have left now
"See, Sylvali, you gotta do it like this-" the imperial chastised, moving to demonstrate, but not getting a chance before Sylvali fired back
"I'm trying, get off my back bout it pops" the small green fae dragon's frills flared out in annoyance, though her small size made her much less intimidating than she was trying to be. Midnight had been trying for few hours now to teach his adopted daughter the basics of combat magic, though, it was a bit difficult seeing as not only were they different breeds, but different elements as well. Heaving a great sigh, the imp lowered himself to the ground, his size causing the ground to shake a bit as he lay down next to Sylvali, closing the gap in their heights as best he could
"I'm sorry for being so harsh, I know you're doing your best" she turned her back to him. "I mean it Syl" she turned her nose up, so he placed his snout right behind her and snorted a playful puff of air at her, bowling her over "you can't ignore me forever kiddo" she glared at him for a moment, but her relaxed frills gave away how she truly felt "now then, shall we get back training?" Sylvali rolled her eyes, but got back up to get ready to try again
