Gaheris is a mystery. He's rumored to come from a subspecies of Imperial dragons that mostly live underwater and he honors that reputation well; or perhaps it's just to conceal the monstruous scars that run along his flanks and grip his throat like talons and shed his skin. Captured, dragged and beaten: there's so much one can think about when looking at the pathetic excuse of a living being Gaheris is, and one could find themselves not so far away from the truth. Long ago, Gaheris had been captured and studied, other dragons wondering how these Imperials could live underwater with so much ease. Torn apart and then put back together, Gaheris is still lacking a few inches of skin and most of his fins are cut in half, everlasting wounds that will never heal. Traumatizing enough to render him mute; that, too, they wonder about. Had his tongue been cut out or was the shock he went through so great he'd lost the ability to speak? One thing is for sure, you will not get anything out of Gaheris apart from a low growl and the usual dark glares that follow you everywhere. On his wings, chains are entangled, ripping the skin. Still, Gaheris never appears to be in pain, or in disconfort. When he swims, there's no blood trail behind him. His steps in snow leave no clue about his poor physical condition. Some say it's luck. Others say it's witchcraft. Gaheris never shows himself in company of anybody, but it's well-known around the clan that he's sharing a bond with Moonfire, one that defies words and physical contact. At night, you could even spot a hint of red in the waters, were you lucky enough. |
