MYRICA
The Changeling Heir
kind ~ astute ~ rebellious
tumblr_o1zrsv44JN1ufdm5xo1_400.png

She is the Heir to the Dawn Throne. When she was young all she wants to do is play and act like a normal child. She was naturally bright and kind, but sometimes chafed against the expectations of her grandmother the Queen, and envied the freedom her friends had. Over time she developed a rebellious streak. Small excursions such as escaping and running outside with her friends grew into extensive time spent at Gimar, CF's ally in Shadow. There she has undergone a rigorous training program and has developed into a promising shadow warrior, with skills (hopefully never needed) in defense, thievery, assassination, and poison making. Her family and clan know nothing of this.

Myrica was found by her grandmother, the Queen Athenaea, who sent her people out on quest to find a worthy heir of the blood to replace Prince Narcissus. She was brought to the clan when less than a month old, and raised in secret by Athenaea until she was old enough to begin to fend for herself. Still a child, she was officially declared Dawn Heir.
Little does the clan know, she is actually a changeling. The original heir of the blood was replaced, unknown to both Myrica herself and her family.

"Diplomacy is the velvet glove that cloaks the fist of power.” - Fitz, Fool's Fate
The generic name was derived from the Greek word μυρικη (myrike), meaning "fragrance"
