Biography
-Originally joined with Geneva due to his skills as a powerful light mage, helped uncover the link between the light element and Emperors.
-Very little is known about Eurof, as the last time he was seen was long ago before the accident.
-Geneva's experiment to reanimate the dead using the forces behind the Emporers went terribly wrong.
-He had been very severely injured, with a huge gash across his throat.
-After he was stable enough, Geneva took him away.
The lab was all set for the day's experiment. Geneva was beyond excited to continue based on yesterday's findings. Her new experimental electromagnetic scanner had picked up promising little blips from the brain of a Shalebuck when Eurof had flooded its corpse with his light magic. Although he was excited to see his mate so happy, Eurof was fatigued after yesterday's exertion, and was not sure how much he could manage today. However, he knew Geneva wanted desperately to continue as soon as possible, as she felt for sure that they were right on the brink of unlocking the secrets of Emperor dragons. Geneva was busily hurrying around the lab, double and triple checking all of their equipment. The Pronghorn Stomper lay still on the table, its leather restraints pressing into the fur covering its broken neck. Eurof breathed a deep sigh, readying his tired form for this next magical endeavor. Geneva placed her machine's sensors on the temple of the familiar, picked up her notepad, and gave him a solemn nod.
Closing his eyes and concentrating, he gently held the animal's head in his claws, feeling as much of his energy as he could manage course through his body, out his claws, and into the lifeless form of the creature. He strained with the effort, breathing heavily as he held his concentration for longer and longer. The bright glow from his magic illuminated the room as the corpse surged with light energy. Eurof heard Geneva exclaim in delight as he felt the form before him lurch with awkward animation. The scanner beeped out of control, detecting the illusion of life that pulsed through the creature's form. The lab was alive with discovery. Eurof opened his eyes and lifted his talons from the beast's head—and was shocked to see murky blue eyes glaring at him from above a snarling maw. The Stomper lunged forward at the mage with fearsome claws outstretched, and the pride and exhaustion that had been welling up within him was melted away into terror as the feeble leather restraints yielded to the monster's newly restored strength.
Terrible claws lashed out with vicious intent and, before Eurof could do so much as take a step back, their jagged edges scraped through the throat of the very dragon that gave them life. Eurof collapsed to the ground, gasping like a fish as he rasped for breath. He was only dimly aware of his mate's actions. Though Geneva was a fearsome warrior, she had done little more than stand and watch, captivated by the implications of this discovery. Her eyes were fixed on the re-animated creature, drinking in every detail of its ragged form as it careened around the room. It wasn't until the Pronghorn turned its sickly gaze upon her that she knew what she needed to do. Its ungainly form heaved towards her, and black slobber spattered across Geneva's white lab coat as it let out a gurgling scream. Still, she couldn't help but hesitate before grasping the creature by its antlers and twisting violently until a sickening snap signalled an end to its new, ghoulish life.
Finally, she made her way over to her fading partner. He lay on his side, too weak to do much more than breathe in short gasps of air that failed to reach his lungs as great waves of light magic slowly drained out of three deep gashes in his neck. Eurof glanced weakly at Geneva, his eyes pleading with her for help or mercy. As he lay dying in her talons, the dedicated scientist resigned herself to what it is she knew she must do.
