Zero Vanguard Leader Mate of Ebala "The ones who don't understand us will rise against us, they will... Let 'em try! They won' destroy what they cann'ae reach! Stand firm, Vanguard!" Loud, shameless, and barbarically upbeat, the enormous ridgeback Zero often fools those he meets with his foolhardy attitude when he is actually a very skilled fighter. His most overused joke has to be about his "incredibly dashing looks" and how most monsters won't touch him for fear of scuffing his shimmering scales... His goofy grin disappears in battle, however, and opponents quickly find themselves faced by an insurmountable wall of Vanguard dragons in solidscale armour, all under Zero's unquestionable command. He and the other two Leaders within the clan seem to move as one unit, with him as their living tank. In recent years, however, he has become very possessive of his children, perhaps sheltering them a bit too strongly. This behaviour started after a mission to an allied clan in the Foxfire Bramble, but it's not certain what he saw there that triggered it. Inuart seems to know, but refuses to speak of it. |

Loyal to him is an unnaturally small leafy moth he has named Ziggy... It's fragile and often quite useless, but the brutish dragon openly admits he thinks the insect is cute. It perches on his nose regularly with the knowledge that he protects it from any hungry lair member wanting to eat it. It always seems to be there to interrupt Zero's wildest tales, almost like a little alarm against his ferocious bragging. Though it may not do much, Zero argues willingly that the little moth is his closest companion and admits that it gives him a reason to be gentle with at least something.
