"now, maybe if i try this..."

A
BOUT ninety percent of the time, when a dragon hears Aurelia speak, they're hearing her mumble to herself as she bustles around a cauldron. Aurelia's dream is to reach the ultimate alchemical achievement: the ability to turn any metal into gold. This isn't out of some desire for more money or for the scientific achievement--Aurelia simply enjoys gold as an accessory to her appearance. Her cuffs and tail rings are gold, her silks are threaded with gold, and even her clawtips have reached a metallic golden shine due to how long she's spent with them in some alchemical brew or another. So far, putting metal ore or refined metal into her cauldron only produces a variety of oozes, but as soon as she figures out a method of reducing materials both not invented by Baldwin and not likely to explode in her face, she's sure she'll get what she's after.

While Aurelia is busy with her cauldron, her Sunspot Clouddancer, Pyrite, can usually be found doing literally anything else. Pyrite shows very little interest in Aurelia's alchemical pursuits and prefers to hunt or fight other familiars instead. It often accompanies various hunting or scavenging parties sent out by the clan, and its ability to spot prey or valuables from high in the skies above the wasteland is, to some, much more valuable than whatever utility Aurelia herself provides.
