Unlike most of this clan, Veritas actually does embody a few of the traits of his breed, namely the tendency to mimic the nature of others around him. This has resulted in a scholarly dragon just as prone to having loud debates as his mate, more so perhaps due to the shadow dragon's competitiveness.

Of course mimicking within a clan that tends to reject stereotypes results in the nocturne choosing to mimic the spirit of the clan ... by not mimicking all of those around him. Veritas has been working on expanding his own identity separate from mimicry, cultivating his own personal truth.

Veritas can often be found recording events in his journal, since keeping record of events around him helps to establish barriers between his own role and those of the dragons around him, and also creates a useful contribution to the clan archives.
