- D.E.S.U.: dragon emergency safety unit
- primarily functions as "emotional support dragon"; especially with PTSD or otherwise traumatized dragons
- only bonds to one dragon. currently: rhel
- has capability to defend and fight if necessary
- frequently worked on by eilen due to rhel's disability
^ eilen consistently prodding and poking at desu, despite desu repeating "i am not in need of mechanical maintenance" like a broken record
^ "okay okAY I /KNOW/ just... let me do this ONE thing....."
- severely rusted and overgrown from x amount of time being unresponsive
- is self sufficient and requires little maintenance; will only request help from bonded dragon
- still unknown who they were built by...
- has "for my beloved..." & "may your nights..." engraved on their tail; the rest of the message has been weathered away
- has a strangely innate trust with kajinko and myumi; respectfully keeps their distance, but would absolutely die for them

Iron Gear

⚜ - was created long ago by a scientist/researcher for his daughter
- daughter had night terrors; desu was built to comfort and protect daughter
- served as stand-in guardian for daughter when father was away conducting research
- desu's personality based on father; built as motherly figure bc daughter had fear of males
- as father and eventually daughter are lost to time, desu left without a purpose and shuts down
- reawakens upon a bramble guardian nestling down in front of them to eat an egg they stole
- desu scares off the creature, and nurtures the egg, i.e. rhel, as her own
