Biography
Formerly regent for an ailing monarch, Aipysurus was crowned as imperator when the aforementioned ruler abruptly died under rather unusual circumstances. Some members of the court raised a question of collusion, but these courtiers very quickly found themselves given the honorable assignment of governing the exterior provinces, where they would be too far from the capital to keep up with current events and politics. Questionable ascension aside, Aipysurus does a surprisingly good job as leader of an empire; his immediate court are more afraid of him than his subjects, and he seeks to put his nation's interests at the forefront in discussions of alliance and trade.

- Was apprentice to the royal physician, and would have become one himself if he hadn't taken the throne
- His raven functions as messenger and spy both- well, the spy bit is only a rumor as the raven tends to show up where one would least expect and the imperator always seems to know what's going on all the time. Not that Aipysurus can communicate with birds, but that's rather irrelevant to court gossip.
