Biography
"I was wrong." She says out into the empty air, sightless eyes turned upward to the sky where she prayed they were listening. "I had been blinded by my anger much like I am blinded now." She had to pause to take in a wheezing breath, each one becoming harder and harder to continue. She continued once she felt she had no choice but to force through it, her voice tired. Worn. Old. "That does not make the choices I made any less horrid. I made terrible mistakes. I took the life of my best friend, I let my clan down when they needed me the most."
She ducks her head down as a cough rattled her chest. It was getting close. Time was almost up. She squeezed her eyes shut despite it making no difference, her voice mournful. "I used to be angry at what you did to me. I used to think of you as cruel, but I can see now."
She gave in to the heaviness of her legs, let her body and head lay against the cool cave floor for what would be her final rest. "You did the right thing." She said, much quieter now, for it was all she could muster. "I forgive you."
One more breath was all it took, one last inhale and then a halt. Nothing changed. It was all pitch black.
