Jani
~The First Drakaina~
A Fae drakaina clings onto a small jungle tree. Her wings are leafy green; her body the color of sand. You crouch behind a flowering bush and observe.
"Stay close to me," you hear her whisper. A large moth flutters beside her, its wings with the texture and pattern of tree leaves. The moth turns its head, and its eyes land on you. It squeals, its voice resembling the rustling of leaves. In a panic, the moth accidentally flings itself onto the drakaina's face. The Fae dragon bats it away before sighing as she floats towards you.
"My apologies. Ondo is fearful around strangers," the Fae explains. She clambers down the tree and approaches you. "My name is Jani, and we consider ourselves the guardians of this sacred forest."
The leafy moth takes shelter on Jani's left wing.. "The forest is bountiful with nature and greenery, and we take it upon ourselves to protect it from thieves."
The dragon looks you up and down, supposedly scanning you for something. A few seconds later. she makes a claw gesture to her moth friend.
"You do not appear to be a thief. You may stay here, as long as you do not attempt to take any of our bounty for your own."
The fae flicks her left wing, signalling to Ondo that it's time to move. The moth takes flight, and the two soar above the canopy of the forest.
"Claim nature. and nature may claim you."
