History
Cassian came across the Den of the Violet Repose completely by accident, but it became her safe haven in her time of greatest need, and then her home.
Young and naive, Cassian blindly fell into love with a pearlcatcher male who was both older than her and of a higher class in their large clan. She became his mate, fully believing that he truly cared for her. She was wrong. For a while, she endured, quietly accepting his poor treatment of her and telling herself it would all be worth something in the end. But one day, it grew to be too much, and she ran away from the only place she'd ever known. She kept flying until she physically couldn't any longer, landing far from gracefully not far from her future clan's lair. The next morning, she was discovered there by Artie while she was out gathering food. Artie, concerned about the clearly exhausted and injured young spiral, took her to Lathander, who treated her wounds and let her rest in his home until she had recovered. Here, Cassian felt cared for in a way she was unfamiliar with, as if she mattered to these strangers, and not just what she could do for them. It was with regret that she prepared to leave this clan's territory as soon as she was healthy again... but she never did leave. Before she had the chance to, Artie and Lathander stopped her, promising that there was a place here for her, if she wanted to stay. And so, stay she did. Cassian soon joined the Violet Repose Guard, and, some time later, became its leader, remaining as such until she found a young dragon to replace her, a sweet tundra who reminded her a little bit of herself.
