To be cursed by the Lightweaver is to have every wrong you've ever committed displayed for the world to see. White lies become black markings. Half truths manifest in deepest gray. And though the blemishes would spell Thandiel's death, they were beautiful in her eyes. ✧✧✧ The day came when no light remained, when Thandiel was so irredeemably consumed by deception that the power of the Lightweaver left her to perish.. but what a poetic demise. Depending on who you ask, her death showed something quite different from what the Lightweaver had intended. Lightweaver watched as her child went astray, but took no action to set her back on the right path. She only rejoiced at Thandiel's shortcomings. Instead of solely shaming the imperials, Thandiel's death also revealed the failings of a Leader, Mother, God. Never before had a deity been so fully disgraced by a mere dragon. Light is an easy thing to redirect, but reflecting shadows is nigh impossible. Yet Thandiel, who had been put to shame for existing in a form she played no part in choosing, did just that in exacting her unthinkable revenge. Though she drowned in her own corruption, cut herself off from the light one wayward choice at a time, she remained a servant of the truth to the very end. Her death uncovered the greatest lie of all. It stripped away the blinding light and revealed the Lightweaver for what she truly was: Villain, Monster, Fraud. ✧✧✧ Magic type: Primal - These Light dragons can amplify light in targeted areas, making day a deadly time to be outside. The sky becomes blindingly bright, grass shrivels, and scales are badly burned, as if under a giant magnifying glass. At night, the light retreats long enough to see the land desolated by the force of its glare. |
