Aveil

She loves her brother, she really does. But would it kill him to give her some personal space?! It's always 'Aveil come do this' and 'Aveil do that'. Hmmph.

She already puts up with enough, what with Dad and Lyra fawning over them. She's not a hatchling! ... okay she is! But... but... hmmph! Bunch of stupid heads. As far as Aveil's concerned, life is simple. Wake up, eat breakfast, go out and hunt. Eat lunch while hunting, be it plants of meat. Bring your catch back at sunset, eat dinner with the clan. Then go to her personal nest, counting over the coins of her personal hoard, and go to sleep. Wake up the next day, rinse and repeat. It's simple, it's productive, it's structured.

But she does feel rotten, whenever she catches her brother out of the corner of her eye. So maybe she'd been snubbing him when they were little. They were family, she should at least hang out with him sometimes, right? Like today. Or... maybe tomorrow. Or come to think of it, maybe push it off to the day after...
