Biography

It was a bright, sunny afternoon. That's not to say it was particularly warm, however, being so close to the beginning of Sornieth's Night of the Nocturne celebrations, and Organa had found herself very, very far from home. How she came to be where she was is a long story for another time, what mattered now was that she was right in the middle of the Snowsquall Tundra, nothing but forest, scrub and snow for miles around. Her wings glittered in the sun, painting the snow beneath them with a pale pink glow that moved as she spun around and around, trying to get her bearings. The tracks she had left on her way here formed shallow impressions in the snow, though she could barely make them out given how unaccustomed to such bright light her shadow-coloured eyes were. Her situation seemed rather dire, and her hope of finding a way out was dwindling. That was, of course, all before what came next. In the corner of her vision, she could just make out a dark shape moving across the snow. She turned her head to face it, hoping to find a dragon who had somehow materialised here in the middle of nowhere to help her. The dark shape stopped a mere few bounds away and turned to stare at Organa, who had found herself staring in shock at a dark mass in the shape of a stag. Most hatchlings would probably have been terrified of the creature, but for Organa it was instead a welcome relief from the blinding light reflecting off the snow. They regarded each other for a moment before the stag turned around, looked back at her and flicked its tail as if asking her to follow it, and bounded toward the woods. It took her a moment to recover, but when she did she set off after it. Somehow the prints it left in the snow were the same colour as the creature itself, making them easy to follow. Once under the trees it was easier for her to see and she found herself feeling much more at home beneath the pines. The stag seemed to be following an animal trail between the trunks, weaving through the needle-covered snow in a remarkably graceful manner. She followed the path made by the creature without difficulty, as it seemed to have chosen a fairly direct path through the wider gaps between the trees so that she would have no trouble keeping up. Eventually, the stag led her to the stony banks of a river. It wasn't too wide across and looked fairly shallow, so the hatchling didn't think she would have any trouble crossing it, but that wasn't the reason the creature had stopped. Instead, it waited for her to reach it, regarding her with dark, inky eyes that were strangely comforting to stare into. When she was standing on the river bank, the stag began to wade into the water, head down in search of something. With a movement as swift as it was elegant, it dipped its head into the water, resurfacing with a glittering fish in its mouth. It then waded back to the bank and laid the fish at Organa's claws. Realising how hungry she was, the young imperial dug in gratefully. When she had finished, the stag turned back toward the river and began to ford it. Organa, unwilling to be left behind this time, raced to catch up.
