B I O G R A P H Y

LDespite being once a proud and resourceful leader to stepping down and changing clans - only to slowly and painfully lose all control by a rebellion, she lost it all. Only able to befriend a few and even then, she lost those as well. She had only one final step to make and it was a difficult step to acknowledge much less make. She had hit rock-bottom, this is where she realized that she had to find herself once again - a bit of soul-searching to find her true footing.

Taking wing she flew off, her heart staying with her little flock back at the last clan she left. But her mind persistent. It took control of her wings despite her yearning to turn back and kept her forward on her new path. Somehow it had lead her to the plague-lands, a grotesque land that even she felt repulsed by but something was here that she needed. A golden reflection had caught her eye and upon flying down and hesitantly landing on this repulsive ground she was greeted by a towering Imperial.

He had agreed to take her in as an advisor having heard of her past experiences and that she would be under his lead Advisor's eye. Here she helps lend aid and is slowly learning to love her self and though slow as it is, is making friends over the course of weeks. Upon all of these is a quiet lesson that she never realized, learning to enjoy herself and have fun for once. Hopefully the time spent here will help heal her from her past wounds.

CareTaker - Ex-Leader

Volcaera was a clan leader once. Her exterior one of respectable and fearsome proportions, but her heart soft. She was a strong and caring leader to all within her clan, which was her charge in its entirety.

But as times changed, so did she, shedding her guardian form and gradually growing listless to the point she felt the call of another sort that urged her from her former charge and back out to the wild.

She wandered for ages, until her wings brought her to the Arcane lands far to the west of her last home.

A group of young nocturnes caught her eye, and they accepted her warmly as their elder and as an appropriate addition to their little flock within the expansive clan Amberspire.

Volcaera is wary of the aforementioned Pepper, leader of all within the lair's walls. But she can attribute her unease to nothing more than the questionable visions of Seer, and her own general "bad feeling".

For now, she exists quietly within the lair, doing everything she can to look after her small flock of nocturnes.

The Leader

Volcaera is a fierce but gentle guardian who has risen to leadership in Clan Avront. She arrived here one day, simply wandering, looking for her charge, no clue where she came from or who she is. She had nothing but a name to give them, and even that took a few days for her to speak.

As it turns out, she found her charge in the entirety of her clan. She has taken responsibility for Clan Avront, at first aiming to only protect and care for the dragons within, but soon those same dragons begged her to take up complete leadership. She graciously accepted and now leads with her head held high, her court of five other dragons always at her back.

Her court consists of five other females, Keiam, The Warrior, Haoi, The Wise, Evari, The Seer, Luvaet, The Scribe, and Karimonna, The Witch. She chose these dragons with care, brought them to her lair and asked them to help lead. She did not command, and she will forever hold them as volunteers. They are free to leave and pursue a different life at any time they please. She is eternally grateful for their help.

Volcaera is a very kind dragon, and accepts dragons of all shapes, sizes, and personalities into her lair. She will only admit to her closest friends that she has an affinity for gembond, though she does not have it herself. The jewels simply appeal to her. Regardless of her preference in genes of others, she will never turn down a dragon based on these preferences.

Though she is extremely accepting, she will not tolerate dragons with ill will towards the dragons in her clan. Due to the clan in its entirety being her charge, the dragons within may come and go, but she will always protect them with her life.

Evari senses a change will occur soon within Volcaera. Something big, and physical. Volcaera herself feels it as well. Her skin itches, she is restless and in major discomfort at all times. None know what the change will be, but it is soon.

The change has occured. Through a painful fortnight her skin and bones molted and changed, transforming her from a guardian to a ridgeback. She is extremely comfortable in her new skin. Though she retains some of the instincts from her days as a guardian, such as the protectiveness over her charge, she fits well into the life of a ridgeback.

It seems Volcaera has changed yet again. Through another agonizing fortnight she shed her ridgeback skin and emerged a nocturne. She does not show many of the breed characteristics, as she still shows the mannerisms of a ridgeback, with a few guardian traits as well.

She is happy in her skin, and hopes it does not change again.
