Vals (vahls)
[parts may be outdated; revamping my clan lore/bios! still have to proof this one for consistency with darys' bio, i tweaked a few things about their relationship. soon to be fixed!]
The cool son of Aldt and Kjarene, who, unlike Sabre, doesn't try hard to be liked. Charismatic but much too unafraid of showing his weird side ("Want to see my Akirbeak's pilfered egg collection, or watch it pilfer eggs?"), he's still got stuff to learn. At least he has a sense of humor.
The only things that dampen his spirits are seeing suffering young creatures, and seeing Darys, his first mate. (Drama ahead). They'd grown up together and been really good friends, but he was too weird for her and she too commanding for him. Yes, they'd considered love, but knew it wouldn't work. So after they were forced to breed, the Clan at the time being very young and empty, she didn't want anything to do with him (girls!). He decided to ignore her, and still does to this minute.
He's still cool, though, and would laugh at how Darys can't seem to move on, but that's just not in his kindly, I-don't-want-any-more-involvement-in-this-drama personality. Besides, he's become quite close to Seine (who happens to be Darys' sister, ooh); they're quickly becoming the sweetest thing in the Clan right now. Life goes on!
