The Tangled Woods are not a good place to be born for a dragon with poor eyesight and sense of direction, and, unfortunately for her, Demetra is both. Hatched from an abandoned, or perhaps lost, egg, she finds herself alone in a very confusing place. She grows up hungry and constantly tired, and ends up one day stumbling across the ruins of a castle. Curious by nature, she wanders in, and, in the absence of light, she doesn't notice the dragon sleeping in a corner, and steps on his tail. And that is how she meets Nebri. They quickly become close friends, and Nebri often speaks of his desire to help others. She decides, after a wildclaw named Finis joins them, to leave, wanting to see the world and serve the Shadowbinder. In her travels, she runs across numerous dragons in need of help, and sends them Nebri's way.
She comes back almost two years later to a full, productive lair, filled with a diverse range of dragons, all with their quirks and passions, all living in harmony with each other.

She can hear a clanmate lowly whispering from over 50 feet away. She has each of her clanmates’ walking patterns down pat, which helps if she hears "foreign" footsteps should an intruder come.
