B I O G R A P H Y
Although there are many imperials born within the Beacon of the Radiant Eye, Lightweaver has made a handful with a designated purpose, Education. The foundation of knowledge lies in teaching and learning, you cannot have one without the other. Everydragon has the capacity to learn, but understanding a discipline confidently and surely is what makes teaching so valuable. Imperials are known for being the Light Flight’s first known children, but the long life they have is almost always forgotten. When one dragon lives for hundreds of years, the amount of subject matter that could be learned, documented, and shared with others is so great, not a single dragon can do it alone. The Lightweaver chose to create these imperials with such a lifespan that they will have the capability and drive to absorb all parts of the world around them. These extraordinary imperials would later be titled “Founders” by the dwellers of the Sunbeam Ruins.
Bernard was made with more than just an exceptional lifespan, with flecks of gold surrounding his eyes, he was made to be unnatural looking. From the day he was born, his parents Ashlin and Lylas knew the hatchling had a thirst for knowledge, more so than any light dragon in the realm. As soon as Bernard was six days old, he was enrolled in Nonia, School of Magics. For at the time, it was the most prestigious academic institution. Bernard succeeded in all of his studies and within his first year was placed in courses with dragons with far beyond his age. His instructors were always praising him, exclaiming how brilliant and talented he was.
Despite being so well rounded, there was one field where Bernard exceeded so well that he quickly surpassed his teachers…Science, specifically dragon health and physiology. He was in love with learning how the world around him works, and how he himself works. Bernard was fascinated by the differences in dragon’s based on individual biology, he soon found interest in how dragons themselves are a part of the world, and how they contribute to a variety of changes around them. After 20 years of schooling and graduating top of his class from Nonia, Bernard found himself troubled on the idea of what to do next. After a few weeks of deep thought, he wished to find a career in which he could still practice and master more skill. Bernard became thrilled when he thought he had figured it out, an inner voice screaming in his head, “Teach others, share with them your passion for education!”.
Bernard’s parents were beginning to worry about him, but soon enough he shared with them his grand plan, “I wish to teach others, I want to share with them my love for learning! I want to become a teacher.” Lylas and Ashlin looked towards him with the same distraught expression. They were concerned for Bernard’s future, teacher’s all throughout the realm were paid little to no treasure for the immense amount of work they do. They shook their heads and explained to him their uneasiness. Despite his parents’ consternation, Bernard decided to follow through with his initial intentions - For he was bright, but blinded by stubbornness.

____He worked hard, he worked until his entire body would collapse. Bernard knew that he must make his dreams happen, if not for himself, for his parents' approval. Bernard knew how to become a teacher, the method he was recalling was actually used to gain blessings from Lightweaver herself; He was taught basic rituals in his cultural studies class. “One must travel towards the Eye, consult the Lightweaver and let it be known your innermost desires…” He quietly murmured to himself, his desk was a complete mess and he hadn’t scrubbed a single scale for days. After his train of thought came, he decided that it was time to clean up after himself, and well, clean himself too. Bernard struggled for what felt like decades to pick out an outfit that he thought was “good” enough for a deity. Finally, he settled and made his way to Sanguine Station.
____His stop was the very last, BRE lit up in bright orange lettering as he exited. He was at the Beacon of the Radiant Eye. Bernard found himself in deep thought, questioning himself because of the idea of a single nobody, waltzing up to Lightweaver herself. He laughed and considered going home, but knew that it would be a waste of trip money if he didn’t at least try to speak to her. As he wandered the empty roads, he realized that he was alone, no other dragons were to be seen. He eventually came to a two-way path, it was freshly paved. A small wooden sign with chipped white paint read, “One takes you nowhere, the other takes you There. It’s all on you, now pick one of two.” Everything fell still, he had no idea where to go, at least until he noticed himself being pulled towards the trail on the left.

____A]fter walking towards what seemed to be nothing for hours, he reached a dead end. As he was turning to leave, a bright flash so glaring blinded him - several minutes passed before he regained his sight. The Lightweaver herself sat before him, gleaming, just as he imagined. “My child, what brings you to my feet?”. Her voice was loud, but not roaring, she was soft and caring, you could hear it in her tone. Bernard was still dazed at her very appearance but managed to speak, “My mother of light and life! I have come here seeking guidance and blessing, for I have only one wish, I would like to teach others. I want to show everyone what education is worth.” She tilted her head ever so slightly, “Founder. You are chosen, there is a reason for your wish. You will collect and share all of which you know, speak no more.”
____Bernard sat in silence, astonished by Lightweaver’s words. His mind was circling, “Founder” what does that mean?. He heard a loud popping sound and felt sick before he could even finish his thought. His eyes were closed, he could feel himself moving. After becoming violently ill, Bernard found himself on the footsteps of Murnose Academy, a school shut down a generation before him due to issues with funding. With a future at his feet, Bernard knew his luck. And on these steps is where one imperial made all the difference, The Grand Poobah shall forever learn and forever know.
