Hydrurga

History
Hydrurga's first memory is less of a memory than it is an imprint: rhythmic waves thundering over her head and the push and pull of water.

She doesn't quite remember how she was hatched, except that one moment she was curled up and the next her legs and wings were free and spread out. Hydrurga blinked open her huge blue eyes. The world spread out before her, painted in swathes of colorful reefs and fish.

Only one thing mattered in life: survival. Hydrurga taught herself how to hunt and catch the waterfowl that swam above her. She wasn't the only one in her bay. Other rogue dragons- some loners, some in groups- claimed territory there too. Hydrurga was stronger and healthier than several of these. She drove them out of the water and took their claims for herself, so that soon she had more than enough food. All this patrolling and defending kept her in peak condition, and soon Hydrurga could go toe-to-toe with most monsters of the ocean.

Eventually, the only thing left for her to do was to try her luck on the land.
